Whatever path brought you here, we want you to thrive, not just survive. For nearly three decades, Selby Group has helped top leaders overcome hurdles, transform organizations, and become the leaders they always wanted to be. Not with generic playbooks, but with strategies built for your situation.

Every engagement is built around your specific situation. Select the challenge that resonates most.
The skills that got you here predate the era of constant disruption. What worked before — decisive, efficient, or expert-led approaches — may actually be working against you now. The leaders who thrive today have learned to lead adaptively, build resilient teams, and make sound decisions in ambiguity. That is exactly what our team helps you develop.
You didn't choose to lead this transformation lightly, and neither did your team choose to go through it. The difference between transformations that stick and those that stall is rarely strategy. It's how leaders bring people with them. Our team has guided some of the most complex transformations in the technology sector, and we know how to make the human side work.
Hypergrowth is exciting until the seams start to show. Culture erodes, communication breaks down, and the management infrastructure struggles to keep up. We've been in the room at Cisco, Airbnb, and LinkedIn during their most explosive growth phases, and we know what it takes to build the leadership capacity that grows with you.
A misaligned leadership team is one of the most expensive problems any organization can have, and one of the hardest to see from the inside. We use assessments, strategic offsites, and targeted coaching to turn a group of smart, well-intentioned people into a team that moves together.
Not every leadership challenge arrives with a clear label. Sometimes you just know something is off: the team feels off, results are slipping, or you're simply not enjoying the work the way you used to. That is exactly the kind of conversation our team is built for. Our intake process gets to the root of what's actually happening.
Every engagement starts with understanding your business context, your team dynamics, and what results actually matter to you.
1:1 executive coaching, advisory, and 360-degree feedback that builds lasting impact, not just short-term performance fixes. No limits on time or access to your coach.
Strategic offsites, team assessments, and facilitation that transforms a group of smart people into an aligned, resilient leadership team that excels under pressure.
Tightly focused group coaching, workshops, and webinars for the next generation of leaders in your organization.
Specialized consulting for CTOs, CISOs, CDOs, and technology executives working at the intersection of AI, data strategy, cybersecurity, and organizational change.
Every engagement is a collaboration. Our team works alongside you and your leaders, in the room, at the table, and through the hard conversations, to build lasting change from the inside out.

After 10 years in organizational development, I started Selby Group in 1997 to help leaders, teams, and companies thrive in a fast-changing world. I've spent nearly three decades studying what actually works.
In that time, I've developed a deep appreciation of the enormous impact leaders have, not only on immediate business results, but more importantly, on the long-term vitality and durability of the organization in a world filled with uncertainty and disruption.
Selby Group's clients include leaders at Cisco, Airbnb and LinkedIn during their hyper-growth phases, Ciena, Sony, Nestlé, Dow Jones, Hearst, and many more, including multiple Silicon Valley start-ups and small businesses. Over 3,000 leaders and professionals have worked with me to up level their ability to lead in environments of frequent disruption, change, and transformation.
I received a Master's degree in Speech Communication from the University of Illinois and serve on the Advisory Board for UC-Berkeley Extension's Leadership Program. I continue to be both intrigued and mortified that my blog post How to Handle an Ineffective Boss was the runaway hit, with over 45,000 views and counting.
