Jennifer Recommends: MBTI: Linda Berens and Jane Kise

For all interpreters of the MBTI® instrument and for others who have been following the threads on the MBTI vs. Big Five debate, I heartily encourage you to check out thought leaders and authors Linda Berens (http://lindaberens.com/why-personality-type-instruments-dont-work/) and Jane Kise (http://www.janekise.com/2013/09/do-you-really-know-and-use-your-4-letter-mbti-code/#!)

Berens wrote a very informative post on personality instruments vs. personality assessments. Kise’s post on ethical administration of the MBTI helps anyone who has taken the instrument determine if he or she actually took the real MBTI and received a proper debrief. Both posts should be required reading for any certified interpreter who hasn’t used the instrument in a while.
